ABSTRACT
Este estudo busca analisar o conhecimento de adolescentes e seus acompanhantes acerca dos seus direitos no parto. Trata-se de uma investigação qualitativa e exploratória, realizada a partir de um recorte da pesquisa intitulada Atenção humanizada ao parto de adolescentes. O local de estudo foi um hospital universitário do Sul do Brasil e os sujeitos foram adolescentes que tiveram partos pelo Sistema Único de Saúde no hospital investigado e seus familiares. O critério para inclusão no estudo foi conhecer pelo menos um direito da parturiente no centro obstétrico. Os dados foram extraídos de entrevistas com 10 adolescentes e 36 familiares, no período entre julho de 2008 a abril de 2009. A análise dos dados efetivou-se mediante os direitos elencados à luz do referencial do Programa de Humanização do Parto e Nascimento. O direito a um acompanhante no momento do parto foi o mais citado. Percebeu-se que existe desconsideração, por parte dos trabalhadores da saúde, acerca das informações no que se refere às indicações e escolhas dos procedimentos realizados. O desconhecimento sobre os direitos dos usuários do serviço de obstetrícia e a falta de informação e condições para cumprir as diretrizes do Ministério da Saúde por parte das instituições ainda são uma realidade. This study aims to analyze the knowledge of adolescents and their companions regarding their rights concerning giving birth. It is a qualitative and exploratory investigation concerning an outline of research entitled: Humanized Attention to Adolescents´ birth. The study took place in a Teaching Hospital in Southern Brazil, and the subjects were adolescents who gave birth in the Unified Health System in that hospital and their family members. Knowing at least one right of the parturient in the Obstetric Center was the inclusion criterion of study. Data were extracted from interviews with 10 adolescents and 36 members of their families, from July 2008 to April 2009. Data analysis was performed according to the rights described by the Humanization Program of Prenatal Care and Birth guidelines. The right to a companion at the moment of giving birth was the most frequently mentioned. It is clear that there is lack of consideration, on the part of health workers, of indications and choice of procedures applied. Furthermore, lack of awareness of obstetric services users rights, as well as the lack of information and conditions to meet the standards established by the Ministry of Health on the part of the institutions, prove to be the reality.
